A Piece of History
Inspired by brick patterns from the 1800s, the Lexington Brick Collection features jewelry, pottery, and pewter designed by Maureen and Rebecca Worth. An iconic symbol of their home in Lexington, VA, the bricks can be found throughout the city as well as along the paths and walkways of local schools, Washington & Lee University, and the Virginia Military Institute.
In the late 1800s over 5,000 factories across America made bricks to create streets and sidewalks of a growing nation. The textured patterns provided firm footing for horses and pedestrians and are still preserved and treasured by these communities. Inspired by how these bricks quietly connect with people, we have created these artistic collections to preserve community identity and promote growth and revitalization of American cities and towns.
